New Drone Regulations being introduced in December 2020
The government and CAA are set to introduce new regulations that will effect all drone and model aircraft flyers!

PFCO (permission for commercial operations) will no longer be applicable with the new regulations introducing 3 categories of flying to all users;
  • (A) Open
  • (B) Specific
  • (C) Certified
These categories are relevant to risk involved and have further sub-categories, the A category being the most relevant to the majority of domestic/club drone and model aircraft flyers. Each subcategory also has a required level of competency.

The changes will mean that the currently exempt drones that weigh under 250g that have a camera will have to register.

What does this mean to you?

Well it may mean that you can do more with your drone, such as certain commercial activities without the need of the training once required for PfCO.

You can find out more in-depth information about these changes on the the Heliguy website.
